Why we formulate without: Many synthetic ingredients found in skincare are petroleum-based. As a fossil fuel, its combustion contributes to polluting emissions (especially carbon dioxide, one of the most dangerous of greenhouse gases). Carbon emissions trap heat in the atmosphere and lead to climate change. 🌎💛
A step further: Beamie's tubes are also plastic-free (petroleum-free), tackling the environmental impact inside & out.
Ingredients to watch for in other products: Always do research on ingredients that sound like they come from a lab or you don't recognize (e.g. ingredients with the word "poly-" or "butyl-").

Where it comes from: Most colour additives are synthetically produced from coal tar or petroleum.
Why we formulate without: When artificial colours or dyes are absorbed into your skin, it can lead to irritation, blocked pores, and inflammation. 👩💛

Where it comes from: Most fragrances are produced with synthetic chemicals.
Why we formulate without: There are health concerns linked to fragrances, making them often classified as allergens, hormone disruptors, asthma triggers and carcinogens. 👩💛

Why we formulate without: Simply put, we love animals & know quality skincare is possible without their byproducts. Much of beeswax found in skincare is derived from factory-farmed hives, where the bees are exploited and killed in the process. 🐝🐑💛
